Wilma Ruth Mays, 95, of Bent Mountain Road in Lerona, died Tuesday, November 22, 2011, at her residence. Born March 26, 1916 in Speedway she was the daughter of the late Fred Ball and Willie Steele Ball. Wilma was retired from Maidenform in Princeton with twenty six years service. She attended the Lerona United Methodist Charge Church in Lerona. In addition to her parents, her husband, Dallas Pierce “D.P.” Mays; one brother; and four sisters preceded her in death. Survivors include three daughters, Patty White and husband Clendal of Bent Mountain Road in Lerona, Luann Cox of Pickerington, OH, and Kitty White and husband Larry of Lerona; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and three sisters, Jessie Beckett of Beckley, Kathleen Goodall of Princeton, and Jean Carol Nash and husband Roscoe of Connecticut. Private funeral services will be conducted on Friday, November 25, 2011 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Rev. Tom Mounts officiating. Burial will follow at the Ball Family Cemetery in Speedway. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
