Obituary for Raymond Ray Chambers

Raymond Ray Chambers, 80, of 220 Center Street in Princeton died Monday, November 12, 2012 at his residence. Born February 28, 1932 in Princeton he was the son of the late Adam F. Chambers and Dollie Morris Chambers. Raymond was retired from Southern Erectors, Inc. and was a former owner-operator of Raymond’s Bar in Princeton. He was also a former member of the First Christian Church in Princeton. Raymond was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean War and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Timothy Chambers; three brothers, Herbert Chambers, Aubrey Chambers, and Morfeit Chambers; and one sister, Frances Worley. Survivors include his companion of thirty eight years, Sylvia Perry Bailey of Princeton; one daughter, Dianne Morris and husband Harry of Bluefield; one grandchild; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 17, 2012 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Rev. Larry Dyer officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery in Princeton with the WV National Guard Honor Guard and the Mercer County Veterans Council conducting military graveside rites. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until the service hour on Saturday.
