Lucille C. Beasley, 88, of Springfield Nursing Home in Lindside, formerly of Princeton, died Friday, January 22, 2010, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Ronceverte. Born December 14, 1921, in Phelps, KY, she was the daughter of the late John and Virginia Aliss Cunningham. She retired from the Mercer County Board of Education with over 20 years of service as a Special Education Teacher’s Aide. Lucille was a very active member and Past Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star Princeton Chapter #53. She was also a member of Mercer County School Service Personnel, Mercer County Democrats Club, the Silver Haired Legislature and the First Christian Church in Princeton. She had been a resident of Lindside for the past 3 years, moving there from Princeton. In addition to her parents, Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Albritton D. Beasley; and five brothers and sisters, Lawrence, Frank, Ray, Kathleen, and Eva. She is survived by one daughter, Bridget Beasley Wilson and her husband David of Princeton; one son, Albritton D. “Britt” Beasley, II, and his wife Amber of Winston-Salem, NC; three grandchildren, Henley Wilson, Savanna Beasley, and Albritton D. “Britt” Beasley, III. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Monday, January 25, 2010, at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Dallas Peyton, Jr. officiating. Princeton Chapter #53 Order of Eastern Star will conduct a memorial service immediately following the funeral Monday. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton on Tuesday, January 26, 2010. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until the service hour Monday, January 25, 2010.
