Charles William Overbay, 72, of the Bland County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bastian, VA, formerly of 303 Kirk Street in Princeton, died Sunday, October 9, 2011 at the Wythe County Community Hospital in Wytheville, VA. Born September, 5, 1939 in Weyanoke, WV he was the son of the late Elbert Rudy Overbay and Mamie Elizabeth Rose Overbay. He was retired from the Coca-Cola Bottling Company in Bluefield and was of the Protestant faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters. Survivors include three brothers, Billy Overbay of Bastian, VA, John Overbay and wife Susan and Douglas Overbay all of Princeton; and one sister, Dessie Mae Taylor of Princeton. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Thursday, October 13, 2011 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor David Barnett officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery in Princeton. Serving as pallbearers will be Dale Smith, Ted Smith, Eugene Vest, Tom Vest, Kevin Robertson, Ricky McKinney, and Johnny Anderson. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, on Wednesday, October 12, 2011.
