Charles Allen "Mickey" Thomas
Charles Allen “Mickey” Thomas, 58, of 112 Montvale Street in Bluefield, VA, touched the face of Jesus, Monday, October 31, 2011 at Charleston Area Medical Center in Charleston, WV. Born September 16, 1953 in Bluefield, WV he was the son of Christine Tolley Argabright of Princeton and the late Opie Thomas. Mickey was a retired carman for Norfolk Southern Railroad with over thirty five years service and was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Carmen. He was a member of the Bluefield Moose Lodge #1079 and was an avid hunter, fisherman, and West Virginia University Mountaineer fan. He was of the Pentecostal faith. In addition to his father, one brother, Tony Thomas; and step father, Victor Argabright preceded him in death. Additional survivors include his wife of forty one years, Martha Elizabeth Tilley Thomas of Bluefield, VA; one daughter, Jennifer Hooper and husband Robert of Taylors, SC; two grandsons that were the light of his life, Trey Lewis and Logan Hooper; two sisters, Sandra Hylton and husband Wayne and Ruth Sneed and husband John all of Princeton; one brother, Chris Thomas and wife Debbie of Princeton; several nieces and nephews; and brother-in-law, Tom Tilley and wife Annette of Princeton. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Friday, November 4, 2011 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Rev. Keith Linkous and Dr. Eddie Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be fellow workers at Norfolk Southern Railroad. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM today. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1816 Jefferson St., Bluefield, WV 24701.
