Ruby Beavers  Evans
Ruby Beavers Evans, beloved Mother and Grandmother, of 214 Redknot Street in Princeton died peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, November 9, 2011. Born February 28, 1926 in Tazewell County, VA she was the daughter of the late Bandy Beavers and Mollie Peery Beavers. She was retired from the retail sales business. Ruby was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Princeton and was active in the Sacred Heart Prayer Circle. She was also a member of the Charlotte Women of Faith in Charlotte, NC. In addition to her parents, her husband of forty one years, George Wendell Evans preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Lurah Evans Taylor; one great grandson, James W. Evans, III; and two sisters, Eula Sizemore and Willie Rasnick. Survivors include one daughter, Brenda Bowling of Princeton; one son, James W. Evans and wife Wanda of Wingate, NC; four grandchildren, James W. Evans, Jr. and wife Shana of Austin, AR, Joseph S. Evans and wife Dawn of Independence, KY, Jackie Bowling Karnes of Princeton, and Jason Bowling and wife Maggie of Princeton; eleven great grandchildren, Leigh Ann Taylor, Alena Evans, Hannah Taylor, Emily Evans, Taylor Parker, Jacob Evans, Colt Karnes, Courtney Karnes, Perris Bowling, Peyton Bowling, and Parker Bowling; and one great great grandson, Derek Brown. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Sunday, November 13, 2011 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Bishop Issiac officiating. Burial will follow at Greenhill Memory Gardens in Claypool, VA. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until the service hour on Sunday.
