Mary Catherine Anderson, 92, of 45 Riverside Drive in Welch died Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Welch Community Hospital. Born July 20, 1919 in Alderson, WV she was the daughter of the late Walter Anderson and Solome Marix Anderson. Mary was a graduate of the Matty V. House Beauty School in Charleston, WV and was retired owner-operator of Mary Catherine’s Beauty Shop in Keystone, WV. She was a member of the Mt. Chapel Baptist Church in Keystone. In addition to her parents, two brothers, Walter Anderson and Eugene Anderson; and one sister, Alice Roberson preceded her in death. Survivors include one son, Danny T. Anderson and wife Sharon of Welch; one daughter, Lisa R. Bell of Greensboro, NC; one sister, Daisy Allen of Alexandria, VA; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. In keeping with Mary’s wishes, her body has been cremated. A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Friday, November 11, 2011 at the Elkhorn Tower, 45 Riverside Drive in Welch with her son, Danny T. Anderson officiating.
