Clarence “Pete” LaRue, 79, of 151 Hundley Street in Princeton died Thursday, January 19, 2012 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born April 27, 1932 in Ada, WV he was the son of the late Jim B. LaRue and Nellie F. Hager LaRue. Pete was a self employed produce salesman and had formerly worked for Surface Banana Company and Virginia Foods. In addition to his parents, several brothers and sisters preceded him in death. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Survivors include his wife Cora Ann Davis LaRue of Princeton; one son, Gary LaRue of Princeton; one nephew, Thomas Lambert and wife Brenda of Sandlick; great nieces and nephews, Angel S. Strouth, Tommy Lambert, and Tammy Lambert; and eight great nieces and nephews including Destiny F. Lambert, Angel R. Strouth, Alley D. Strouth, Tanner Shockley, and Tyler Shockley. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Monday, January 23, 2012 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Rev. Lyle Mullins officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until the service hour on Monday.
