Mabel Clara Hunter Little-Stamper, 105, of 306 Bee Street in Princeton died Saturday, March 3, 2012, at Princeton Community Hospital. Born February 25, 1907 in Pearisburg, VA she was the daughter of the late Payton Hunter and Willorema “Willie” Kelly Hunter. Mabel was a retired machine operator for Maidenform, Inc. in Princeton with twenty two years service and was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Princeton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Vernon Wesley Little; second husband, Samuel Stamper; two sons, Roger Little and Thomas Little; and seven brothers and sisters. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survivors include one daughter, Celia Morgan of Deland, FL; one son, Elvin Little and wife Henrietta of Johnson City, TN; daughter-in-law, Virginia Little of Cleveland, OH; grandson, Sammy Sudduth of Princeton; a loving and devoted grandson that cared for his grandmother for the last six years; two additional grandsons, Wesley Little of Johnson City, TN and David Little of Chatham, VA; four granddaughters, Dawn Little and Sue Little both of Roanoke, VA, Terry Warren and husband Tim of Milan, TN; and Kathy Derbin and husband Dan of Cleveland, OH; six great grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Dr. David Dockery officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery in Princeton. Serving as pallbearers will be Jerry Tennant, Jim Richards, Wesley Little and Terry Clark. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until the service hour on Wednesday.
