Obituary for Julia Elizabeth Linkous

Julia Elizabeth  Linkous
Julia Elizabeth Linkous, 85, of 150 Glenwood Park Road in Princeton died Saturday, April 14, 2012, at her residence. Born December 31, 1926 in Princeton she was the daughter of the late L.E. Carbaugh, Sr. and Viola Bird Carbaugh. She was a graduate of Princeton High School and National Business College in Bluefield. She was a retired Vice President in the Bookkeeping Department of Commercial Bank of Bluefield where she worked for forty five years. Julia was a faithful member of the Greenview United Methodist Church in Green Valley serving as the church treasurer for forty two years and on various committees. In addition to her parents, two brothers, L.E. Carbaugh, Jr. and James Carbaugh preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband of sixty three years, Harold Mark Linkous of Princeton; three sons, Dr. Harold D. Linkous of Bluefield, David Mark Linkous and wife Mary Ann and Gerald R. Linkous and wife Cathy all of Princeton; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Linkous and fiancé Chris Smith, Matthew Linkous, Stephen Linkous, and Sarah Linkous; one great grandson, Landon Smith; three sisters, Bernice Hawkins of Princeton, Dean Suiter of Fairlea, WV, and Zylpha Fry and husband Carroll “Hoover” Fry of Princeton; and one brother, Richard Carbaugh and wife Doris of Georgia. Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at the Greenview United Methodist Church in Green Valley with Dr. Bill Wilson and Rev. Christopher Raines officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday, April 17, 2012.
