Irene Belcher Lynch, 91, of 111 12th Street in Princeton died Friday, April 27, 2012 at her residence. Born December 17, 1920 in Kirk, WV she was the daughter of the late Andrew Jackson Belcher, Sr. and Cuzzie Maynard Belcher. She was a graduate of the Chillicothe, Missouri Business School and of the Baptist faith. Irene retired in 1985 from One Valley Bank in Princeton where she started her career in 1958. She was a Charter Member of the Princeton Community Hospital Volunteers and served as their Treasurer for several years. She was also a member of the Princeton Garden Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Lynch; seven brothers, Floyd Belcher, Grant Belcher, Lace Belcher, Andrew Jackson Belcher, Jr., Johnny Belcher, Joe Belcher, and Arville Maynard; five sisters, Anna Lou Fitzpatrick, Ella B. Bobst, Faye McManus, Paulina Sammons, and Bernice Lusk. Survivors include two children, Frances Lynch of Waccamw Island, South Carolina, and William Lynch Jr. and wife Sharon of Tennessee, eleven nieces, Cuzzie Mathena and husband Wilfred of Bluefield, Myrtle England of South Palm Bay, FL, Dondra Asbury of Blountville, TN, Sharon Stacy and husband Kermit of Bluefield, Judy Surface and husband Danny of Princeton and Ella Brooks and husband Bob of Grifton, NC, Lora Miller and husband Ed of Huntington, WV, Lynn Ray of Mineral City, Ohio, Marsha Watts and husband Andy of Columbus, Ohio, Andrea Koons and husband Randy of Columbus, Ohio, Tonya Ruggles and husband Danny of Jacksonville, FL ; seven nephews, Ked R. Fitzpatrick of Shelbyville, KY, Wesley Fitzpatrick of Welch, WV , David Fitzpatrick of Hensley, WV, Burgess Belcher and wife Jean of Ohio, Jack Ray of Huntington, WV, Jeff Ray of Kenova, WV and James Belcher of Georgia; two sisters, Theresa Miller and husband Ray and Melda Burroughs and husband Chip all of South Carolina; and one brother, Larry Belcher and wife Frances of Tullahoma, Tennessee; several grandchildren; several special great nieces and nephews; special friends and caregivers, Markeeta Howell and Betty Smith and daughter Peggy and very special longtime friends, Elsie Ritchie and Lena Thomas of Princeton. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Monday, April 30, 2012 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Rev. Gary Jakes officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton from 12:00 Noon to the service hour on Monday, April 30, 2012.
