Obituary for Willis Gerald Glover

Willis Gerald Glover, 82, of 812 Highland Avenue in Princeton died Sunday, April 29, 2012 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA. Born June 18, 1929 in Herndon, WV he was the son of the late Frank W. Glover and Cora Lambert Glover. He was a graduate of Herndon High School and a 1959 graduate of West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management. Willis was retired owner and operator of Mining Electronics, Inc. and a U.S. Navy veteran serving in the Korean War. He was a lifetime Alumni of WVU, a member of Princeton Elks Lodge #1459, and a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. In addition to his parents, two brothers, Charles Glover and Frank “Jim” Glover; and two sisters, Annabelle Glover and Patricia Cromer preceded him in death. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Survivors include his wife, Francis Louise Wilson Glover of Princeton; one son, Steve G. Glover of Colorado; two daughters, Tammy Glover and Vonda Kay Hardin and husband Cecil all of Roanoke, VA; four grandchildren, Zachary Hardin, Madison Hardin, Francis Grace Glover and Kathy Stroupe; three great grandchildren; special sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Wilson of Princeton and Dorothy Runyon of Beckley; brother-in-law, Danny Wilson of Leesburg, VA; and faithful canine companion, Buttons. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with Rev. Marvin Mills officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. There will be no visitation. Those attending the graveside service are asked to meet at Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton by 1:45 PM or at the cemetery by the service hour on Wednesday.
