Sue Lee Stanton “Frankie” Frankenfield, 80 of Halls Ridge Road in Princeton went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, May 6, 2012 with her loving family by her side. Born September 4, 1931 in Bluefield she was the daughter of the late Carl E. Stanton and Mildred Sue Ratliff Stanton. Frankie graduated from Mercer County Vocational School in 1965 as an LPN and then graduated from Bluefield State College in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science Degree as a Registered Nurse. In May 1989, she was chosen by the Princeton Community Hospital Nursing Department (500 members) to be honored as “The First Nurse of the Year”. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Emmet F. and Ardella Coleman Ratliff who raised her after the passing of her parents. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Earl James Frankenfield, Sr.; one son, Earl James Frankenfield, Jr.; and her only brother, Gene M. Stanton and his wife Mae.
