Obituary for Maxine White Chandler

Maxine White Chandler, 86, of the Phillips Personal Care in Lerona died Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at her residence. Born February 11, 1926 in Elgood she was the daughter of the late Luther White and Lottie White. She was a graduate of Athens High School and Concord University. Maxine retired in 1972 as a teacher with the Mercer County School System last teaching at Melrose Elementary School. She was a faithful member of the Stinson United Methodist Church in Princeton. Maxine attended and played the piano for the Men’s Interdenominational Bible Class for many years. In addition to her parents, her husband, John Chandler; one sister, Margaret Warren; and two brothers, Jimmy White and Jack White preceded her in death. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Friday, May 18, 2012 at the Elgood Cemetery with Pastor Scott Mayberry officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton from 10:00 AM until the service hour on Friday. Those attending the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:30 AM.
