Donald Arless “Eddie” Lewis, 71, of 311 New Hope Road in Princeton died Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born November 26, 1940 in Mercer County he was the son of the late Arless James Lewis and Mabel Nosler Stephens. He was a retired construction worker last working at West Virginia Armature Company and owner-operator of Liberty Construction Company. Eddie was a member of the Memorial Church of Christ in Princeton and enjoyed many church activities, including singing at church and at local nursing homes. In addition to his parents, one sister, Judith Ann Harding; and two special aunts, Hazel Surface (who helped raise him) and Maxine Juba preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife of fifty two years, Mary Ruth Farley Lewis of Princeton; one son, Tommy J. Lewis and wife Sheila of Falls Mils, VA; two grandchildren, Valerie Boyles and husband Jason and Eric Lewis and fiancé Mary Hill; five great grandchildren, Ryan Boyles, Morgan Boyles, Carson Boyles, Brooklyne Lewis and Madison Lewis; two brothers, Arless Lee Lewis of Tucson, AZ, Danny A. Lewis and wife Faye of Bluefield; one sister, Carolyn Sue Wykoff of Tucson, AZ; one step brother, Terry Wayne Lewis and wife Ruth of Tucson, AZ; and a special aunt, Mildred Nosler (who helped raise him). Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Frank Watkins and Dr. Rick Bradley officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Bluefield, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until the service hour on Wednesday.
