James Nelson “Jim” Alley, 81, of 240 Old Bluefield Road in Princeton, died Friday, July 13, 2012 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born August 7, 1930 in Tazewell County, VA he was the son of the late George Thomas Alley and Bertha Lee Alley. He was a U.S. Army Combat Engineer veteran serving in the Korean War. Jim was retired from Pepsi Cola Bottling Company with forty one years service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Princeton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Juanita Daugherty Alley; and eight brothers and one sister. Survivors include one sister, Marie Yancy and husband Henry of Orange, VA. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Dr. David Dockery officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with the West Virginia National Guard Honor Guard conducting military graveside rites. Men of the church will serve as pallbearers.
