Dorothy Lee Patterson, 50, of 2951 Shadyview Drive in High Point, NC, formerly of Princeton, died Friday, August 10, 2012 at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, NC. Born February 12, 1962 in Princeton she was the daughter of Juanita Ricks of Princeton and the late Archie Hill. She was a graduate of Princeton High School and had been a resident of High Point since 1994 moving there from Princeton. Dorothy was a Production Technician for Goodyear Tire Company in Asheboro, NC with fourteen years service. She was a member of the St. James Home of Fresh Start Church in Greensboro, NC. Additional survivors include her husband, Johnny Junior Patterson of High Point, NC; one son, Jesse Omega Lee Walker of High Point, NC; one God son, Jalen McKay of Greensboro, NC; one sister, Margaret “Cokey” Ferguson and husband Robert of Greensboro, NC; and two brothers, Floyd Ricks and wife Gwen of Princeton and William Ricks and wife Robin of Linden, NJ. Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Thursday, August 16, 2012 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Dr. James Woodson officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until the service hour on Thursday. In keeping with Dorothy’s wishes her body will be cremated following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity of choice.
