Condolences

Condolence From: Randy Walker
Condolence: I am saddened to hear of Mr. Gleason's passing. Some of my fondest memories were playing in the Concord Commanders under Mr. Gleason's direction while attending Concord from 1976 to 1980. I treasure the memories we made together. Mr. Gleason was a treasure to me and I will miss him dearly. My deepest sympathy to the family.

Condolence: From 1984-1988, I had the privilege of playing in the Concord Commanders under Mr. Gleason's direction. He taught all of us to love "big band" music and made sure that we played it well. His enthusiasm for music, for life and for seeing his students succeed were an inspiration. I miss those days and like hundreds of his previous students, miss him too. Thanks for the memories, Mr. Gleason!

Condolence: Sue and Debbie: (And Children)

I know you have a heavy heart today saying goodbye to your dad and grandpa. I am so sorry for your loss and your entire family. I am also sorry that I won't be able to share your grief today. This is registration at the college today, and I am required to stay at the office until 6:00 today and all week.

I know you probably won't remember who and who was not there. But my thoughts and love are with your entire family. Your dad was a special person to us and your entire family too. We have loved your mom and dad for years, and were grateful that we got to be part of their and your entire family's lives.

Our love and thoughts are with you.

Condolence From: Roger Daniels
Condolence: It is with great sorrow that I hear of the passing of Mr. Gleason. After my father, who always said he could only play a radio, being a major inspiration in my life for music, there were three other gentlemen who played a major role in my musical career. Don Boyd, Al Staton, and Ken Gleason. Mr. Gleason always put one at ease and made you feel that you were a valid musician with something to offer. I will always be grateful for his encouragement, wisdom, and friendship. I offer my condolences to his two daughters and his grandchildren and great grandchildren and only wish that I could be in attendance as Mr. Gleason is honored. God speed Mr. Gleason. You will be missed but never forgotten. Signed, Roger Daniels
