Christine Bridges  Gunnoe
Christine Bridges Gunnoe, 91 of 511 Pearl Street in Princeton went to be with her Lord on Saturday, October 13, 2012, at The Maples in Bluefield. Born April 18, 1921, in Princeton, she was the daughter of the late Dave and Bessie Bridges. She was the last charter member of Lilly Grove Baptist Church in Princeton where she taught the Women’s Sunday School class and was a faithful Bible School worker. She was a member and former president of the Women’s Missionary Union. She was also a former certified child caregiver for the DHHR. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Zed Gunnoe, Sr.; one son, James Z. “Jimmy” Gunnoe, Jr.; one brother, William Bridges; and one sister, Elizabeth Cooper. She is survived by two sons, John David Gunnoe and wife Anita of McDonough, GA, and Rev. Daniel L. Gunnoe and his Betty of Princeton; 7 grandchildren, James W. “Jimmy” Gunnoe and wife Tammy, Dale Gunnoe and wife Melissa, Teresa Akers, Michelle Bowling, Keith Gunnoe and wife Sheraine, Todd Gunnoe and wife Joni, and Trevor Gunnoe; 13 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be conducted at 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Rev. Bruce Woodson and Rev. Daniel Gunnoe officiating. Private burial will be at Oakwood Park Cemetery in Princeton. Friends may call from 6:00 P.M. until the service hour Tuesday at Seaver Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lilly Grove Baptist Church, 1012 Oakwood Avenue, Princeton, WV 24740.
