Stephanie Leah Barker, 52, of Meadow Lane Loop in Bluefield died Sunday, October 14, 2012 at her residence. Born August 16, 1960 in Beckley she was the daughter of the late Charles William Meadows and Pamela Lynn Hartzog Webster. She was a graduate of Princeton High School and formerly attended Concord University. Stephanie was a former manager at the Mercer County Animal Shelter with twelve years service and was of the Methodist faith. In addition to her parents, her husband, Ronald Steven “Steve” Barker; and one sister, Wanda Simpson preceded her in death. Survivors include two daughters, Melinda Braskey and companion Kenneth Sewell of Fairdale, WV and Amber L. Barker of Princeton; two granddaughters, Elizabeth Braskey and Ashley Sewell; two brothers, Thomas Fortner of Savannah, GA and Bryan Webster of Eccles, WV; and one sister, Susan Meadows Richardson of Mabscott, WV. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 18, 2012 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Chaplain Mike Forbes officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until the service hour on Thursday.
