Obituary for James Wesley Farmer

James Wesley  Farmer
James Wesley Farmer, 76, of Spanishburg, formerly of Shopview Avenue in Princeton, died Friday, April 29, 2011 at the residence of his daughter in Spanishburg. Born October 24, 1934 in Matoaka he was the son of the late Freeman Farmer and Marie Walker Farmer. He was retired from the City of Princeton. James was a member of the Ridgeview Church of God in Lashmeet. In addition to his parents, his wife, Clara Lafferty Farmer; one brother, Keaton Farmer; and three sisters, Lois Farmer, Mary Mills and Carrie Proffitt preceded him in death. Survivors include one daughter, Brenda Nave and husband Michael of Spanishburg with whom he made his home; four sons, Dannie J. Farmer and his companion Mildred, John D. Farmer and his companion Kim, Roy C. Farmer all of Princeton, and Michael J. Farmer and his companion Billie of Front Royal, VA; one stepson, Weldon Lafferty of Delaware; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Monday, May 2, 2011 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor L.A. Farmer officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Sunday, May 1, 2011.
