Casey Jay O’Neal, 39, of 100 Highland Avenue in Princeton died Sunday, May 29, 2011, at his residence. Born August 22, 1971, in Bluefield he was the son of Bill and Nancy Pendleton O’Neal of Princeton. He was a former employee for Res-Care in Princeton and manager for Macado’s and Cinemas 8 at the Mercer Mall in Bluefield. Casey was a former assistant coach for the Princeton Junior High School Football team for several years. He had also coached Princeton High School Softball and Football. Casey was a 1989 graduate of Princeton High School where he was an exceptional athlete for the Tiger Football and Baseball teams. He then attended Bluefield State College where he also played baseball. In 1994 he graduated from Concord University with a degree in Management. Casey loved all sports and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He had a warm smile, kind heart, and was a friend to everyone. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Boyd and Rheda O’Neil; and maternal grandparents, Woody and Hazel Pendleton. In addition to his parents, Casey is survived by one brother, Riley O’Neal of Princeton; one sister, Christy Hedrick and her husband David of Barboursville, WV; three nieces he adored, Isabella, Savannah, and Alexandria Hedrick; and a half brother, Gary O’Neal of Beckley and his children, Shane and Brandy. In keeping with Casey’s wishes his body has been cremated. A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 PM, Sunday, June 5, 2011, at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Rev. Randy Adkins officiating. Friends may call from 1:00 PM until the service hour on Sunday.
