Charles Sidney Allen, 58, of 208 High Street in Princeton died Thursday, July 14, 2011 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born July 22, 1952 in Mullens, WV he was the son of the late Charlie Allen and Annis Walker Allen. Charles was a retired custodian with the First United Methodist Church in Princeton and was a member of the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Princeton. In addition to his parents, three sisters, Pearl Cook, Clara Hairston, and Betty Mae Hairston; and one brother, George Allen preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Mildred Major Allen of Princeton; one daughter, Annis Maria Allen of Princeton; one son, Charles Sidney Allen, Jr. of Princeton; five grandchildren, Tevin Allen, Devin Allen, Jaquan Allen, Ebony Allen and Sidney Ray Allen; two great granddaughters, Nia Taylor and Rayah Allen; two sisters, Bernice Banks of Knoxville, TN and Elnora Jackson of Princeton; and one brother, Rudolph V. Allen of Princeton. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, July 19, 2011at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Gregory Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery in Princeton. Serving as pallbearers will be Dexter Callen, Vernon Smith, Xavier Strain, Olando Garrett, Darius Foust, Lawrence Lee, and Tommie Sims. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until the service hour on Tuesday.
