Larry Marshall Oxley, 62, of 317 North State Street in Athens died Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital in Beckley, WV. Born January 24, 1949 in Athens he was the son of the late Thomas U. Oxley and Annie Elizabeth Campbell Oxley. Larry was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in the Vietnam War and was formerly employed at the Dean Company in Princeton. He was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, one sister, Fern Ellen Oxley; and one nephew, Thomas Randal Oxley preceded him in death. Survivors include two brothers, Steve Oxley and wife Connie of Princeton and Danny Oxley and wife Becky of Narrows, VA; one nephew, Derek Oxley of Athens; one niece, Cammie Kotz and husband Sean of Riner, VA; and one great nephew, Chad Kotz of Riner, VA. Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 AM, Friday, September 30, 2011 at the Athens Cemetery in Athens, WV with Pastor Charlie Rice officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton form 9:00 AM until the service hour on Friday. Those attending the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home by 9:30 AM.
