James Wilson Proffitt, 19, of Kodak, TN passed away Friday, September 30, 2011 at his home where he resided with his grandmother, Evelyn Wiley, a former resident of Princeton, WV. He was born September 21, 1992 in Tulsa, OK. James was a senior at Sevier County High School in Sevierville, TN and attended the Full Gospel Church. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Glen E. Wiley; and uncle, Timothy J. Wiley. Additional survivors include his mother, Lori Sorley and husband Gary; father, Marty Proffitt and wife Vickey; grandparents, Betty Proffitt and Walter Proffitt; two sisters, Kimberly Proffitt and Sara Proffitt; one brother, Matthew Proffitt; two step brothers, Nathaniel Rowe and Brent Sorley; two step sisters, Nadia Rowe and Maniko Sorley; one uncle, Michael Profitt; two aunts, Sylvia Proffitt and Cynthia Crabtree; and several special teachers and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Thursday, October 6, 2011 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Rev. Tony Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Wednesday, October 5, 2011.
